The inspiring and dramatic surrounding in Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960s. The stories of more than a dozen African-American "help" share their deepest stories to a writer and writes an impacting book. Not based on a true story but the actions and events that are detailed throughout the film were and ARE very real to this day.
